Well Abandonment

Decommissioned per DEP Requirements

Monitoring & Bedrock Wells

Monitoring Wells are used specifically for monitoring underlying water quality and they can be in place for as little as 1 month or years.  The length of use of the monitors for water sampling based on the specific project.

Injection Wells

In-situ remediation refers to the claen up process of contaminated sites without removing the contaminate material.  The goal of this type of remediation is reduce the need for extensive excavation & transportation of such contaminated materials.

Well Abandonment

Only licensed drilling providers are authorized to remove the wells.  The “removal” process depends on the way the well was originally documented by the DEP and strict guidelines must be followed to appropriately decommission and abandon.
